Welcome to 11JA

Welcome to the page of 11JA, undisputedly the best class in the school. This half term we will be helping with the Poppy collection for the British Legion.  On the week beginning 10th November, we have an all day Science exam practical and on Friday 14th we will be visiting Southport College for a “taster” morning.  In PE we will be going to Awesome Walls every Thursday! 

Parents have been given information about College Open evenings and we have all now completed our Annual Reviews.  We are all committed to working hard and to finding the right placement post 16.  We will also spend this half term practicing for our last Christmas show!

Recent Highlights - Autumn 1 

 Last half term, Year 11 continued their studies, with some of them choosing new Options subjects.  These Options include Outdoor Education, Humanities, Sport and Fitness, Childcare, Music, Art and Food Technology.  IN RE we visited Gilmoss Recycling centre which links to Christian attitudes to looking after the Planet.  The class also had their Annual Reviews.  These are the most important ones as we think of next steps.  We also always inform the parents and students when there are College Open Days.  Before we broke up, 11JA dropped off all of the school donations to the Foodbank up at South Sefton depot.  Our new prefects adapted to their roles very well and the class as a whole are showing great maturity.
