Mrs Hopkinson – Form/Maths Teacher

Form time/ERIC (Everyone Reads In Class) every morning between 8.45 and 9:15. During form time we run through what is happening that day and any changes to our usual routine. Toast/fruit is available if desired. We have regular catch ups, sharing
news and celebrating achievements.

Our students follow a formal model where they move around school for lessons with subject specialist teachers. They are in their final option year and in addition to core subjects they are completing their accreditations in subjects including Music, Catering, Art, Outdoor Education, Childcare, Performing Arts, Humanities, Sport and Fitness and Duke of Edinburgh.

As a form we also have 2 Personal Development lessons per week, on Tuesday and Friday. In these lessons we are developing our independence skills, building verbal confidence in formal settings, looking to the future, and considering post 16 choices/opportunities. Personal Development sessions support our students in becoming respectful, confident, and empathetic individuals. It helps them to develop the interpersonal tools they need to navigate a wide range of social settings—at school, at home, and in the wider world.

Our staff team are very much looking forward to working with families as our pupilswork hard to complete their final year here at Crosby High. There is lots to look forward to, some Y11 highlights include, work experience, Year 11 residential and end
of year prom.
